This set featured a 40′ wide back wall which was textured with 13 gallons of scenic goop consisting of joint compound, sawdust, white glue, elastomeric, Flexbond, and grey paint. The ratio was heavy on the binder side to ensure the wall wouldn’t crack when rigged in the air. After texturing both the wall and four columns, washes were added to give the texture some aging with P-50 sprayers and sponge rollers. The finale scene for this set featured a portal and two legs which were stretched muslin on steel frames. They were painted upright on the paint frame and then loaded into the space.
